Gut Springenheide’s roots reach back to 1844, when the current owners’ forefathers laid the foundation for today’s globally active enterprise.

In our case, that old conundrum about the chicken and the egg has a clear answer: The chickens came first on our farm in Germany’s Westmünsterland region. Although they didn’t realise it at the time, our predecessors also paved the way for our current business through their prudent yet proactive approach.

While all farms at the time had chickens, Gut Springenheide stood out by consistently pursuing innovation and growth in this business line in the 1950s. The company went as far as installing a modern egg packing station and proved even more forward-thinking in devising dedicated sales and marketing concepts for the branded eggs.

As we came to profoundly appreciate and ever more systematically focus on eggs as a valuable natural food source, we increasingly turned our attention to the many ways of preparing them. This undeniably delicate and challenging task became our great passion, spurring us on to new creative heights. We know we’re onto a winner when our carefully crafted products taste as good as if they had just been freshly prepared.

The Gut Springenheide farm still exists to this day. But we have long since moved into state-of-the-art, purpose-built premises. Today, every member of the team pours their expertise and enthusiasm into preparing our wide range of uniquely delicious and nutritious artisanal egg products. We are still guided by the self-same, tradition-steeped philosophy in our daily work.

From Münsterland to the world

From our home in Germany’s Münsterland region, we sell our artisanal products locally and to the world. Each day, our trained staff prepare fresh egg specialities according to traditional methods.
